Diermimas is very beautiful. I enjoyed your website very much. I am looking for information regarding my family. My Great Grandfather, Elias Saad and my Grandfather Najeeb or Norman Saad. What a fantastic website! I have added to my favorites and will be viewing it often. I am searching for information on my Great Grandfather Elias Saad. He was born in 1854 and passed in 1896, in Diermimas. His wife was Nazha Nader, the daughter of Sied Nader and Reime Slaman. There known children were Skonder Saad, Sara Saad, Habeeb Saad, Najeeb Saad (my Grandfather) and Naseeb Saad. It is said they had other daughter, unknown to us. Im hoping for personal information or weblinks that can help me find out about my Great Grandfather Elias Saad. Who his parents are, how he passed, any information at all. I hope someday to visit Diermimas. Keep up the great work! Anyone with any information can contact me at ellist4458 on yahoo.

Hi, I am awe struck by this website and am so lucky to have found it. My Grandfather, Najeeb Saad, is said to come from Diermamas.
His known brothers and sister were Skonder Saad, Habeeb Saad, Sara Saad, and Naseeb Saad. I am looking for information on my Great Grandfather, Elias Saad. He was born in 1854 and passed in 1896. He was married to Nazha Nader. She was born December 28, 1858 in Diermimas and passed in Lansing, Michigan November 16, 1946. Her parents were Sied Nader and Reime Slaman. I do not have my Grandfather's family information, who his parents were or how and when he passed. If anyone has personal information or any weblinks

Hello!!
Congratulations!! Deirmimas was the land of my grandfather, Georges Bassila and my great grandfather Salomon David Farhoud. I was there in the summer of 2008 and wish to come back this summer and meet my old relatives. Big hug to everyone and again, congratulations Mr. Morkos.

To Anne Mamye,

Immigration officers registered many Lebanese family names phonetically, and your family name pronounced in Lebanese arabic would be close to that of the family name "Nehmeh" or 'Nahmeh". This is a fairly common name in many Lebanese cities and towns including Deirmimas. You may be related to this family, but you would need more information to confirm this. If your grandfather was baptized in Deirmimas, it may have been registered in one of the churches there.
